We’re on the hunt for a Clinical Intake Lead with a passion for mental health and a knack for triage!

Do you have a sharp mind for risk analysis and enjoy helping others? We need you to lead our Strong Minds Intake and Assessment team in either the stunning towns of Bathurst or Dubbo, NSW (Wiradjuri Country).

As our Clinical Intake Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring the smooth operation of our intake, triage, and referral processes. You’ll oversee the coordination of all clinical assessments, making sure every client referred to the Strong Minds program gets the fast and focused care they need.

This full-time role is perfect for a seasoned mental health pro who can guide a team, juggle multiple tasks, and, most importantly, make a real difference in the lives of the people who need it most.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Qualifications – You’ll need a relevant degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or nursing
  • Professional Registration – You must be registered with the relevant professional body, such as AHPRA or AASW, to ensure your skills and credentials are up to industry standards.
  • Experience – You should have at least 2 years working in a client-focused role within a mental health setting, helping people navigate their mental health journeys with expertise.
  • Assessment Skills – Whether you’re experienced or ready to dive in, you need the ability to assess individuals facing mental health challenges and determine their needs with care and precision.
  • Organisation & Time Management – You’ve got solid skills when it comes to staying organised, managing multiple tasks, and prioritising effectively to make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Communication & Engagement – You can easily connect with people from all walks of life and work well with multi-disciplinary teams, making sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to supporting clients.
  • Tech-Savvy – Strong skills in document management and the ability to navigate clinical software for electronic client records are a must.
