Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Manage Accounts: Process and maintain accounts receivable, including preparing and sending out invoices.
  • Reconciliation: Prepare general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Chase the Payments: Follow up on overdue invoices in line with the finance debtor procedure, keeping things on track.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work with the NDIS Business Support Team to resolve billing errors and find solutions.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide top-tier customer service for all NDIS finance-related inquiries, teaming up with NDIS program staff as needed.
  • System Mastery: Gain a deep understanding of our systems and processes to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, data, and files, always adhering to privacy laws and contractual requirements.
  • Policy Documentation: Document and refine financial policies and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Quality Contribution: Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, helping to enhance the overall finance process.

Selection Criteria:

  • Accounts Receivable Experience: Proven experience in managing accounts receivable within an accounting/finance function.
  • Tech Savvy: Solid experience with accounting/finance software systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software capabilities.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in negotiation, collaboration, and consultation.
  • Problem-Solving & Time Management: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player & Independent Worker: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
