We’re seeking a dedicated Practice Support Advisor to join our team. This role is based on the ancestral lands of the Wiradjuri people, and you can choose to work from our welcoming offices in Dubbo or Bathurst, NSW. As part of a dynamic team, you’ll have the opportunity to lead, inspire, and support others while enhancing the lives of those in need.

In this role, you will:

  • Mentor and Lead: Facilitate regular supervision, mentorship, and reflective practice for employees in the CPS program, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.
  • Champion Client-Centered Care: Ensure that staff are aligning their work with the recovery model, adhering to program guidelines, and keeping the client’s recovery goals at the heart of every action.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Be the go-to person for staff seeking advice on service delivery and best practice approaches, ensuring consistency and high standards of care.
  • Manage Risk and Optimise Resources: Attend weekly intake and allocation meetings, supporting the management of risk and advising on the best allocation strategies for incoming program referrals.
  • Ensure Quality Documentation: Provide training and hands-on support to staff, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation in client records
  • Nurture Team Development: Assess and recommend development opportunities for the team, ensuring that our staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Support Clinical Risk Management: Monitor and support staff in managing participants who may present clinical risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant Qualifications or Experience: You hold tertiary qualifications in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, case management, psychology, or another mental health-related field, or have substantial clinical experience in the mental health sector.
  • Expert Knowledge in Mental Health & Recovery: You have an in-depth understanding of recovery-focused practice and are passionate about supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. You’re driven to make a difference in the community.
  • Supporting Non-Clinical Staff: You possess the ability (or interest) to guide and support non-clinical staff in delivering recovery-focused support services to clients with complex mental illness. This includes supporting intake, screening, and client-centered psychosocial coaching services.
  • Self-Reflective & Development-Focused: You demonstrate the capacity for self-reflection and are committed to ongoing professional development, including taking part in your own supervision.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to share your knowledge and experience in a learning environment, supporting others to grow in their roles.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re highly literate in using computer systems, including experience with report writing and managing electronic client information systems.
