Celebrating our third cohort of learners!

Congratulations to the nine First Nations Graduates from the third cohort of the Aboriginal Workforce Development Initiative who graduated last Friday! The ceremony was held at Regional Enterprise Development Institute Ltd (REDI.E), where the learner’s achievements were recognised as they received their Certificate III in Community Services.

The Aboriginal Workforce Development Initiative has now successfully equipped a total of 29 graduates with invaluable experience and insights that will allow them to continue to provide vital mental health supports in their local community.

"As a graduate of the Aboriginal Workforce Development Initiative, I feel incredibly thankful for the program and truly believe that this qualification will enable me to make a real difference in my community. This accomplishment means a lot to me, and I’m eager to start helping people in my community.”

Lacey, Aboriginal Workforce Development Initiative Graduate

Congratulations to the nine graduates in the third cohort – your hard work, commitment and dedication has paid off!

“The dedication of our Learners over the last twelve months is inspirational – their hard work has continued to pay off and we are excited for them to use their skills and passion to provide vital health and wellbeing services to their communities.”

Megan Callinan, CEO

The program strengthens the First Nations workforce across Western NSW and is backed by funding from the Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) and the NSW Government’s Regional Aboriginal Partnerships Program.
