22nd November 2017 – Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world with the majority of skin cancers caused by exposure to Ultra-Violet radiation in the sunlight. As the summer sun begins to warm up, Marathon Health in partnership with the Cancer Institute of NSW are travelling across Western NSW to deliver the #ThinkSunSafe program.

Approximately, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the time they are 70 and more than 750,000 Australians are treated for one or more non-melanoma skin cancers in each year. Marathon Health’s new campaign #ThinkSunSafe aims to increase awareness of sun smart behaviour amongst high school students thereby minimising the risk of skin cancer.
