23rd August 2017 – In celebration of Wear it Purple this Friday, the team at headspace Dubbo will be hosting a free sausage sizzle in support of the young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Asexual (LGBTIQA+) Dubbo community.

Wear it Purple was founded in 2010 as a day of support and acceptance of the LGBTIQA+ community across the world. Christina Rodgers, headspace Dubbo Youth Access and Awareness worker, says awareness days such as Wear it Purple are important as the young LGBTIQA+ community are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health concerns.
